Exciting News: I’m Featured in Art Gallery Magazine's July Issue!
I have some exciting news to share with you – my artwork has been featured in the July issue of Art Gallery Magazine! The issue is titled "Enjoying the Color," and it’s an honor to be included, especially since color is such a central part of my art practice.
Featured on pages 40-41 is one of my brand new abstract paintings on paper, “Mist Over Amalfi”:
My latest abstract artworks are all about using colors and mark-making to transport you to a past memory or a stunning place. For instance, in "Mist Over Amalfi," I used a palette of blues and yellows that evoke the ocean, bright lemons, and a cool mist. Imagine the Amalfi Coast during early morning when the colorful hillside towns and steep lemon groves are quiet and serene.
At the time of writing this, the original painting and prints of this piece are available on my website in case you know anyone looking to get transported to the Amalfi Coast on a daily basis. I'll also be releasing additional travel-inspired abstracts over the coming weeks so stay tuned.
Thanks for reading and sharing this exciting journey with me. Be the first to hear about new artwork and news from my studio by subscribing to my email list.
P.S. If you read the magazine article, you'll see that I mention another painting called “That Summer in Florence." I thought the magazine would publish that one too since they asked for two artworks. Only later did I realize that it's horizontal and “Mist Over Amalfi” is vertical, which doesn't play nice on a single magazine page. Whoops! 😅
